After defeating Terminus in the Savage Land, the Avengers return to their headquarters only to discover Raymond Sikorski's men dismantling some electronic equipment. When confronted, Sikorski reveals he's attempting to keep the security council from disbanding the Avengers by capitulating to some of their demands. The Avengers are called to deal with a battle between Spider-Man and Firelord. Meanwhile, in the Andromeda galaxy, Captain Marvel is still held captive by Nebula the space pirate. As Captain Marvel scouts a Skrull base, Nebula attempts to eliminate them both.
